MOROCCO HALAL TOUR 11 DAYS.

Pre-Trek Briefing:
Highlighting the rich Muslim heritage in Morocco can provide visitors with a deep and meaningful experience.

Day 1: Casabanca
Upon arrival at Casablanca airport you’ll be met and transferred to our hotel. Our Tour Guide will brief you about the tour. We will then go for a guided visit of the stunning Hassan II Mosque, which has the tallest minaret and is the third largest mosque in the world - it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time, the mosque was built 1990s and it reveals the uniqueness of the Moroccan architecture. Al Assr or Almaghrib prayer will be at the same mosque, we will then go for a walk at La Cornich area then have a Halal dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca- Rabat- Chefchaouen
After breakfast we will head towards the blue city Chefchaoun. En route we will make a stop to explore the administrative capital of Morocco Rabat, we will visit the historical Kasbah district and learn about its rich history, then visit the Royal Palace, Mohamed V mausoleum then the famous Hassan tower, the unfinished minaret for Hassan Mosque dates back to 12th centaury where Dhuhr prayer will take place followed by lunch in the town, after lunch we will continue our journey to Chefchaouen driving pass many Berber villages on the way. Overnight at Chefchaouen..

Day 3: Chefchaouen
Today it is the time to explore the blue city with its narrow alleyways. At the top of the city located the main source of water called Ras-elma. This spring is the source of life for the whole city, we will walk up the hill opposite the town to have a panoramic view and some great photos of the whole city. Chefchaouen medina has a Moorish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants and cafes so dinner will be in one of the terraces to enjoy the sun sets behind the Rif Mountains, the grand mosque of Chefchaouen is located at the center of the Medina for the prayers.

Day 4: CHEFCHAOUEN-FES.
After your breakfast, we will make our way through the Rif Mountains towards Volubilis, crossing Wazzan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will visit the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site and its Moroccan history. We will then continue to Meknes, a city with a 17th century heritage and one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. Dhuhr prayer will be at the historical Grand Mosque of Meknes that dates back to 12th century, then we will have a Halal lunch in one of the local restaurants, there will be some free time to explore the town and admire its amazing Bab El Mansour gate then we will head to Fes where we will spend the next tow nights. Day 5: FES SIGHTSEEING.
Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds. This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Fes el Bali - the old walled city. This fascinating medina is a veritable rabbit warren of 9400 alleys that often finish with dead ends – so be sure to stay close to the group! We also visit the dye-pits and tanneries. As Fes is the cultural capital of Morocco, so it’s famous for its universities and Madrassas, we will visit the Bou Inania Madrassa which was built at the 14th centaury, then do Dhuhr prayer at El Quaraouiyine Mosque which is a part of the Al Quaraouiyin University believed to be the 1st university in the world, it was built in 859. It will be then lunch time in a local restaurant in the heart of Fes Medina. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 6: FES- MERZOUGA
Excitement is in the air as we head towards the mighty Saharan Dunes. En-route we stop off for lunch at the Ziz valley, famous for its vast dates Oasis. It is then time to head towards the great desert dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga where we transfer to our camels and trek in to the vast Sahara Desert in time for sunset. We then return to our authentic Berber Camp on the edge of the desert to spend the night enjoying local food, music and an amazing night out under the Saharan stars.

Day 7: DESERT MERZOUGA- TODRA GORGES- DADES VALLEY
After breakfast in the Dunes we leave the desert and stop along the way to visit ancient irrigation wells. You can see how they were created from an intricate network of underground canals running from the Atlas to the Sahara, and dating back to the 14th Century. We then move on to the stunning Toudra Gorges, set amongst the Palmeries and hemmed in by 300M high cliffs. After the walk through the Gorges, we will have lunch then drive to Dades valley where we will spend the night.

Day 8: DADES VALLEY- OUARZAZATE- AIT BEN HADDOU-MARRAKECH
We must bid a fond farewell to Dades valley this morning as we make our way to Marrakech via the Roses valley, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou. We will make our first stop at the roses valley to visit one of the local cooperative to see some of the products made locally from the Damasks’ roses the valley named after, then continue our drive to get next to Ouarzazate where we will have a chance for an optional tour of the film studios, famous for movies such as Gladiator, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights. Half an hour later we will arrive to Ait Benhaddou where we will have lunch then visit the old village. Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which boasts great examples of Kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited. Our journey will continue by crossing the High Atlas Mountains to get to Marrakech, en route we will stop in a local Argan cooperative, where we will learn how to make the Moroccan oil, Amlou (a mixture of Argan oil, honey and almonds or peanuts) and some other cosmetic products made of the same oil such as shampoo and creams. We will then carry on our drive to get to Marrakech for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:MARRAKECH
Today is for Marrakech. This amazing city is located in the middle of the country; its location attracted many dynasties along the Moroccan History and made it as their Capital such as Amoravids (1062 to 1147), Almouhads (1147 to 1269) and Saadians (1509 to 1649). Even when other Moroccan cities were the capital of the country, Marrakech keeps always its importance as one of the main cities of Morocco. Our visit will start from Majorelle Gardens named after the famous French painter who constructed his art deco villa and started the botanical gardens. In 1980 it became the residence of Yves Saint Laurent. We will then move to the Medina which is the oldest part of the city to visit Bahia Palace, a 19th centaury Palace then make our way through the twisted alleyways of the Medina to get to the Koutoubya Mosque; the landmark and the highest building of the city. This mosque dates back to the 12th century and was built by Elmohades, Dhuhr prayer will be in this historical mosque. We will then go for lunch then continue of exploration of Marrakech by visiting the Souks then our tour will end at the the famous square of Marrakech Djamaa Elfena where you can find snake charmers, Acrobats, Musicians... There will be some free time before we meet for dinner at the same square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10: MARRAKECH-CASABLANCA
will have a free morning today, either to do more exploration of Marrakech at your own peace or to an activity like Hot Air Balloon. We will depart from Marrakech in the afternoon and take a leisure drive through the highway to Casablanca where will have our final dinner. Overnight at Casablanca.

Day 11: DEPARTURE
Your adventure in Morocco comes to an end and your transfer to Casablanca airport is at your disposal any time of the day.
